174 PEOPLE ARE ROOTING FOR THIS DREAM

and counting…

A Home for Ari & Me

What started as me sharing a house I completely fell in love with turned into something I genuinely wasn't expecting.

So many of you encouraged me to create a way for people who wanted to contribute toward my goal of eventually owning an accessible home for Ari and me—and somehow, this little Home Fund was born.

The house that sparked all of this is one possibility, not a promise or a guarantee. After touring it, I learned a lot more about what would need to be modified, what accessibility features work for me, and what I need to consider before making such a huge decision.

But the bigger dream hasn't changed.

The Goal

I want to build a future where Ari and I have a home of our own that gives me greater independence, accessibility, stability, and room for us to grow together.

As a disabled mom, finding a home isn't quite as simple as finding something cute and moving in. Doorway widths, bathroom accessibility, flooring, entrances, layout, modifications and long-term affordability all matter.

This fund is simply one piece of that much bigger goal.

Where Your Support Goes

Contributions to the Home Fund are being set aside toward the costs associated with eventually purchasing and creating an accessible home for Ari and me—whether that's the house that originally inspired this fund or another home that turns out to be the right fit.

And there is absolutely zero expectation to contribute.

If you'd rather support my dream by purchasing something I've created, you can shop my original paintings, prints and products throughout Alex Dacy Art. Every order supports my small business and helps me continue building the life I'm working toward.

Thank You. Seriously.

The response to this has completely blown me away.

Beyond the contributions, you've ordered my artwork, shared my work, encouraged me, and reminded me how many people genuinely want to see Ari and me succeed.

I'm an artist, an entrepreneur, a disabled mom—and apparently someone crazy enough to put a giant dream on the internet and see what happens.

Whether you've contributed $1, purchased a painting, ordered a notebook, shared a post, or simply rooted for us:

thank you for being part of this.

One painting, one order, one contribution and one ridiculously big dream at a time.

— Alex

I have a big dream: to create a beautiful, accessible, stable home for my daughter and me.

I’m working toward that dream one painting, one order, and one very determined disabled-mom-business-owner day at a time.

So many of you have asked if there was a way to contribute directly to our home goal. Now there is. ❤️

No pressure. No expectations. Just an option for anyone who wants to be part of our story.

For me, finding a home isn't quite as simple as finding a place I love.

As a power wheelchair user, accessibility affects almost everything — entrances, doorways, bathrooms, flooring, space to maneuver, and whether I can actually move through my own home independently.

My dream is to create a home where accessibility isn't an afterthought. A place where I can be as independent as possible, where Ari has room to grow, play and make memories, and where we can put down roots together.

I'm working hard to make that happen through my art, my business and the community I've spent years building online.

And we're dreaming big.
